DEWALT DW6613 1/4 Inch Carbide Burr Bit

I went through two of these to cut eight 14" x 6" holes in my 1950's era home for HVAC vents and *barely* made it. The edge dulls quickly when cutting a mix of thick drywall/plaster. A repeated 'plunging/sawing' action was required to get it to cut effectively. It did make a tough job easy but be prepared to buy a few to get the job done. All spiral saws are sacrifical in nature and will lose their edge quick so no surprises here. Three star rating due to misleading description about long life.
Dewalt made a really nice piece here. I always buy carbide 7 1/4 blades for my saw because they slice through flooring like a hot knife through butter. Put this into the dewalt 18V cutter and off you go, no matter what the material. Carbide holds its edge for years and is a great investment.
Compared to the spiralsaws this is alot less likely to break and can handle dental stone without a problem.

The Porter Cable router bit failed right after I began using it with a brand new Porter Cable template guide, which I ordered at the same time as the template guide. Either the bit or the guide were defective as the guide developed small cracks, or splits almost immediately; the guide and the bit touched and I saw small sparks. Both the bit and the guide were ruined. BTW, I was using them in a Porter Cable router which I had used before and after the above happened, and have had no other problems with the router.

Could have been made tougher. It does the job, until it breaks. And it will break sooner or later.
I was a bit skeptical about the 570, however that skepticism is gone after watching this bit chew through grout like a hot knife through butter.
Great and durable bit for grout removal and other things where a 1/8th" slot or hole is desirable - anywhere carbide will do the job this is it.
I've used this several times to remove grout in a problem area around in our hall. It's worked great every time, chews up the grout in seconds.

I bought this blade as an upgrade for my Porter Cable Saw Boss. I mostly use the saw for plywood, quick cutting long boards to length, and odd large pieces that I can't safely manhandle through the table saw. I want quick and I want smooth. The blade is AMAZING. With a straight edge guide I can get cuts as clean as if I'd made them on the table saw. It seems to work just fine for rough cutting as well - dimensioned lumber, stair risers, etc. I bought a 20 tooth blade also, but I don't know that I'll use it - I would consider the 40 tooth an all-purpose blade for me.

OK it's a router bit. All I can say is that it cuts great and I have never had any trouble with the Frued bits. I run a custom furniture shop and all the tools get a workout. So far all the Frued router bits have held an edge well and I would recomend them to anyone. It just isn't worth killing a $10,000 custom bed for the $15 difference in price between the cheap and quality. I am sure that everyone feels the same about thier work... Or, they should.
