Another quality Milwaukee product!!!

I have used this type of bit for years. I am an electrician and go through a lot of bits. This bit will chew through the toughest wood with hardly any effort. On new construction, you just start the screw and then just hold onto the drill. The bit does the rest. After a few nails, you can resharpen the bit easily enough with a hand file. I have only had to replace a bit when one walked away on a job site; never because it wouldn't eat wood any more. It is not a bit you can use with a small drill, so don't try unless you like buying drills. Vermont used to or maybe still does sell a bit similar. I used to ask for them by calling them butterfly bits. I haven't seen them in a long time though. They were two bladed bits with a self starting screw. They worked well and were a lot cheaper than Milwaukee, but they also wore out a lot more quickly. Good product all around.

Cheaply made

First time I tried the extractor, it busted off inside the bolt. Very hard metal, but so hard that it is quite brittle. Very little amount of free play, and doesn't let you put any torque on the bolt at all, so if it is rusted in there, forget about this set! Seems like a cheap knock off of the ever so popular "easy out" set. Now I have to figure a way out how to get the stupid thing out of my bolt so I can drill a new hole and tap some new threads in. Can't drill it out because the metal is so hard, it is chewing up my drill bits.

The shank is not 1/4 inch as stated. The shank is the same size as the bit increasing to 1/2 inch. This can be trouble if you have a 3/8 inch chuck. Otherwise OK.

Cheap bits for a cheap price.

There cheap, don't expect much. The case isn't worth it either. Some of the bits were to dull to use out of the box. But a little filing fixed that. Once again the saying is true, you get what you pay for. I didn't pay much and I didn't get much. Not recommended.

Another boring review

Sorry I couldn't resist. These bits are an old standby. They work great in soft materials like wood and plastic. Speedbor is very accurate. If you hit a nail they get dull fast but you can resharpen them. Even if you don't you're not out much. I know a lot of guys that use these for making custom bits. maybe they grind a taper on them for candle holders or they cut the shanks for stubby bits. The list goes on and on. I threw away my rack. I wrapped the bits in rubber bands so they would stay together. The whole bunch fits nicely in my Makita box. A must have item.

Listed incorrectly

The seller has this listed as a 15 Amp 3.5 horsepower router. In fact this item is a 10 amp router that is 1.5 horsepower. I believe that the other 3 people that have taken the time to write a review received this exact router. The router I received was in the exact condition as the others that have been described here. One of the handles had the cap popped off and a clear plastic guard around the chuck was broken. This router was also assembled (excluding the dislodged cap). I hope Amazon forces the seller to correctly list this product.

Disappointed

A previous reviewer had commented that the AMPS had been incorrectly reported for this product. It turns out when we received ours, that was still the case. Ours also arrived with a broken part but completely assembled (when instructions in the box talked about how to add on the bits and pieces) and without packing protection inside the router box. Frankly, it looked like it had already been used. We can't comment on the performance of the tool because we packed it up and sent it back almost as soon as it got out of the box once we saw the signs of wear on the baseplate. We have to commend Amazon for standing behind their guarantee. Yukon Tool needs to focus on quality control issues.

underpowered

router is supposed to be 3.5 hp and is clearly not, got different model than they say it is, returned it and was sent the same one that is only 1.5hp very disapointed

Pass on this tool.

This is not a 15 amp router. It is a 10 Amp router. I purchased this tool to do raised panel. The tool was delivered with two broken plastic parts. I immediatly called Yukon tools and spoke to Gary for replacement parts. As I am looking at the tool to describe the parts I noticed that it is only 10 Amps, and asked if this is a mistake. Yukon tools told me that it is listed incorrectly, that it is only 10 Amps, and they will correct the problem. I was convinced by Yukon Tools to try out the router. I did, and found it to be underpowered. My advise is to PASS on this router.
